What Makes a Good Showreel

the showreel is the most important part in applying to a job in the creative industry because it allows the company/employer to see the stuff you've created and the level you are at it also allows the company/employer what section of the company you want to apply to in the company.

Good things to do when making your showreel

The best way to make a showreel is by showing the skills that you have gained and learned throughout the year in a particular area, there is also keeping the showreel short because of the companies going through hundreds of showreels on a regular basis. Another good thing is to show your best work at the start and end of the showreel, there is also thinking of the showreel as an ad where every segment in your showreel is an ad.

Below are good examples of good showreels.

Pros

There is many things that are good about working freelance. The few major benefits to working freelance are. You are able to sleep in instead of waking up early and creating your own schedule while also being your own boss, you can cut back on the driving to and from work saving you money for fuel if you do drive, another pro is that you are able to let your creative mind flow during projects, the last pro i would say is you choose when you want to work on the projects. you also get to relax while not worrying about anyone watching over you while you work.

Cons

There are lots of cons as well. The main 5 i think that are important are. The payment is not consistent  throughout the month, you don't get benefits while working in freelance, you can also be easily distracted while working by children or pets etc, you don't know how long it will last due to job security being a huge issue nowadays.

Intellectual Property also known as IP rights are vital part in the creative industry.

Intellectual Property contributes a huge amount to our national and state economies. Tons of industries across our economy rely on the enforcement of their patents, copyrights and trademarks, while the consumers use the IP to make sure they are buying safe and guaranteed products.

The short term: IP rights are valuable assets for businesses. this is extremely important in the creative industry for multiple reasons.

Some of the reasons are. Some areas in the creative industries rely on the ingenuity as their best assets, this means without protecting this anyone can copy any company ideas which they might have invested a lot of time and money on the ideas.

IP rights also protect the company's identity.
